Travel to DAS 2024

Conveniently situated in London’s historic commercial centre, Guildhall is just minutes from Bank, Moorgate, Mansion House, St Paul’s and Cannon Street underground stations; as well as Moorgate, Cannon Street and Liverpool Street rail stations.

London is well-connected from airports, rail and coach, making it easy to travel to and from the city.

By train

Train is often the quickest and greenest way to travel, and London is the hub of the UK's extensive rail network.

The fastest city-centre-to-city-centre journeys to London are:

  • Bristol: one hour and 45 minutes to London Paddington on Great Western Railway.

  • Cardiff: one hour and 50 minutes to London Paddington on Great Western Railway.

  • Birmingham: one hour and 30 minutes to London Euston on Avanti West Coast.

  • Manchester: two hours and 10 minutes to London Euston on Avanti West Coast or Northern.

  • York: one hour and 55 minutes to London King's Cross on Northern.

  • Leicester: one hour and 10 minutes to London St Pancras International on East Midlands Railway.

  • Nottingham: one hour and 45 minutes to London St Pancras International on East Midlands Railway.

  • Derby: one hour and 30 minutes to London St Pancras International on East Midlands Railway.

  • Sheffield: two hours to London St Pancras International on East Midlands Railway.

  • Newcastle: three hours and five minutes to London King's Cross on LNER.

  • Edinburgh: four hours to London King's Cross on LNER or ScotRail.

  • Glasgow: five hours to London Euston on Avanti West Coast.

If you're coming from Europe, the Eurostar train via the Channel Tunnel is a great option. Eurostar's London terminal is at St Pancras International station and you can then connect by Tube.

All of the major train stations in London have direct links to the Tube, except for Fenchurch Street, which is close to Tower Hill and Aldgate Tube stations.

By plane
London has six major airports, the most central being City Airport, Heathrow Airport and Gatwick Airport, which are within an hour of the centre.

If arriving at City Airport, you can get the DLR directly to Bank in around 30 minutes.  From Heathrow, you can take the Elizabeth Line directly to Liverpool Street or the Heathrow Express to Paddington and then connect via the underground.  If you arrive at Gatwick, you can take the train to Victoria or Blackfriars and then connect via the underground.

By bus
Victoria Coach Station is London’s principal coach hub, with other coach stations at Liverpool Street and Stratford.
